Default Stock computer?

i was wondering when you get your car tuned if you have to get an aftermarket computer or if you can use the stock one. i am going to be getting it tuned after i do my H/C swap and put in my intake manifold. im not sure if i have to have any thing else done electronics wse any help or info would be great.

My heads & cam modifications were tuned on the stock computer.

you can retain your stock pcm and just get it tuned w/ something like hp tuners, ls1 edit, etc etc
