Need Some Help with a Hypertech Tuner Buddy has a 98 LS1 Camaro with the 6-speed. Lots of mods but his biggest problem is that he changed gears and tires so now the speedo is way off. He had a Hypertech tuner for the car but it was stolen or misplaced. From what I can tell the Hypertech unit has to be in the car to keep the changes to the PCM. Is this true or can he just borrow one and make the mods the the PCM for the tire change and gear change?

nope he cant borrow one...its locked to the pcm it was used with unless the tune is completely pulled...he can go to a person with hptuners that has that year license and get them to adjust for the gears though.
