AFR question before & after cats.
AFR question before & after cats. I would like to put a wide band on my 02 Z06. FJO tells you to put the 02 sensor at least 18 inches from the exhaust valve but in front of the cats. Room is limited and the pipe ahead of the cats is double wall making installing the 02 sensor ahead of the cats not very practicle.
FJO says some newer cats have little effect on the AFR but some can cause the reading to be off by as much as 1 AFR.
Has anyone done any comparison readings on an 02 Z06 to see what the difference in readings is between before the cats and after the cats? If I knew the difference then I would know how to compensate the tune having the 02 sensor after the cats.
