DTC Emissions readiness tests Well I'm making progress. It's been 3 weeks of driving and setting a couple codes to not report an error, but it's still not quite done. The catalyst is the only test not to show completed. I'm using simms and do have cats. Does anyone know if O2 simms will fool the pcm? Should I just remove them and disable the rear simms? Or does this test look at something else entirely?
If your running out of time you can cheat by turning off all related codes just for the test, turn off front and rear o2 codes, front and rear o2 heater codes, air pump codes, all evap/vent codes and catylist codes. If you hit all the right codes the test will pass the second the key is turned in.

I wouldn't suggest that... no need to turn off the fronts since they don't comne into play for readiness tests... but the rest does work... i've been told
Last time I went in for emissions, I flashed the PCM, did 3 cold starts, a few warm starts, and all but 1 (EVAP) was complete... then I passed emissions in the matter of 2 days and 30 milesAlso may want to check your local rules... at least here in IL we can have 2 Not Complete readiness codes for 2000 and earlier cars, and 1 for 2000 and newer and still pass emissions
I drove around for a couple days trying to get at least four of the tests to complete to no avail. As was suggested above, once I disabled a few of the emissions related sensors (SES on, No Error Reported), they completed as soon as I turned the car on.
