Default Computer reset's after sitting?

Hey guys,
If I turn my car off after running for roughly 45min or more and go back to start it the computer resets. The tripometer goes to 0. I still have the same radio stations. Could it be wiring with the radio?

The positive battery terminal was so corroded I couldn't get it off even with some channel locks. Could weak connection be causing the computer to reset after a certain period of time?

All replys greatly appreciated...

Thanks guys

Low voltage/bad connection can cause the trip to reset, sometimes accompanied by the gauges sweeping too on startup. Got a '99 by chance? www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=359115

'99 z28.

The gauges sweep along with the reset when it does it.

Also, if my volts meter in my car is still showing on the upper end could my battery be low still?

All this just started late last week. NEVER happened before except when d/c the battery.

Did you put in a new battery? If not I'd get it load tested to be sure it's good, then clean the terminals really good. Hopefully it's just the battery/connections and not the gauge cluster. And welcome to the board.

Thanks guy There's a wealth of information on this site. Keeps me occupied at work late at night/early in the morning

I'll start cleaning up/checking stuff out, gotta see how I'm going to get the positive terminal bolt off being as its striped and VERY VERY tight on there.
