Default Crank relearn on a TH400

I cant perform it on this car and I think partly because the car thinks its in drive and not in P/N. What sensor/wire is responsible for this....

Thanks

Well for a 2001 camaro, it looks like you would ground the orange/black wire, connector 1 pin 34 for park/neutral. It's late and SI looks like its missing a wiring diagram. I'll check it again in the morning when I'm more awake, unless someone else can confirm.

If you have a tuner that can flash the PCM to a 6 speed you will be better off. I had the same issue, we flashed a 6 speed in it, and then multiplied the VSS by 2.5 and all was good. It took the relearn the first time. After doing a CASE relearn you will have to start your tuning all over again from the begining, if you had any tune on it at all.
Also I will add that if you ground that wire which is the correct one (ORG/BLK connector 1 pin 34) it will use the park values for timing, and then if you unground it, then the car will think it is in drive all the time, which can play havoc on your tuning experience. It is just better to go with a T56 flash and not deal with the hassles.

Lol.... I just realized who I posted this to...... lol............. It will be good info for anyone else who is looking for the same information.
