For $100 you get 1 year of updates. Is this bug fixes or is it if they change the software to add more capability? I would hope you dont have to pay for bug fixes.

yea that would suk! pay for a companies trouble shooting! I say everyone speak up about this and possibly protest if infact it is true that we are paying for bug fixes something they should have long figured out in R&D in the beta testing!

Here's the email from them about this:
Danny,
It is one year after the first six months.
The updates usually contain new features. We added at least a dozen new
tables to the OBD-II LT1 editor over the last year, and I expect the
same for the LS1. These usually result from customer needs.

You can buy it 2 years after you buy the software if you want - it doesn't have to be continuous.
In the LT1 Edit version we were given a few months of free updates (the people who purchased it in the beginning) to cover bug fixes, etc. Most of the updates consisted of added features, etc.
I'm just a poor college student and managed to keep up on the updates - trust me, it's worth it!
