Default Is it just me.....

Or do some others find the claims of 10-30rwhp GAINS on a "bolt-on" car kinda inflated! Seriously, how much have people been gaining with LS1 Edit. I have done several cars lately, and picked up nice under-the-curve numbers, and peak....but nothing near 30rwhp. My thinking is, GM produced a awesome computer structure that can adapt VERY well to alot of conditions. I don't claim to be an awesome tuner (Yet!), but I just don't see how people are claiming such big gains on cars unless there is an unseen problem before hand. Of the cars I have done just this week, I gained ~ 10-15rwhp on a cam only car.....8rwhp on a stock car, and 5-8rwhp over a Ed Wright program. Is this about typical? BTW, all tuning was done on a wideband. Its just got me worried that I am missing 20rwhp somewhere

Hey Chris,

I'm with you on this one. When I was at MMS getting my heads and cam setup Mike ran it on the Dyno with my computer and his tuning. The Difference was 12hp peak, but alot different on the whole curve, so at some points there is a 20-25hp difference, but not peak.

I honestly don't know if I believe dyno runs anymore, not even same car, same dyno, same day runs.
