What is wrong with my car Last night I wanted to change my car back to Stock with the Hypertech programmer. The programmer went to 100% and asked me to turn it off. Then I thought I wanted to keep the 6200 rev limiter. So I reprogrammed the car with a 6200 rev limiter.
After all of this is done I get in my car to go to the track and I try to nail it and it falls on its face. I can ony speed up a half throttle to about 70. If I push the gas hard the car will not speed up.
I pulled the pcm bat and the pcm ign to try to reset the computer and this did not help at all.
Any help will be appericated.

Re: What is wrong with my car I had a similar problem, first time I programmed my car, it would crank and idle, but if you let off the clutch with the car in gear, it would go dead.
I just "un-programmed" it and re-programmed it again.
Sounds like you could have a similar problem.
it could be something as simple as the stereo being on or even the power antenna operating while the computer is being programmed.
or at least that's what they told me at Hypertech.

Re: What is wrong with my car Why did you reprogram? If you took it back to stock, the stock limiter is 6200 RPM. Sounds like you need to try removing the programming again.
