FLash problems..maybe
I think one of my flashes may have become corrupt. I took one .ls1 file from a stock C5 and compared it to mine. That did not work, I got crazy numbers. So I went and looked at the opening page in the editor and this is what I saw, notice the difference in that my CHECKSUM is DISABLED.... ??? corrput file and will I have to re-read my pcm??
Corvette Broadcast Code ID = CXNL
Year = 1999
Engine = LS1 5.7 Liter
Vin = Bone stock '99 Vette, NO powerloader
Segment 1 = 9373372
Segment 2 = 16263709
Segment 3 = 16263946
Segment 4 = 16264208
Segment 5 = 16253322
Segment 6 = 16264551
Segment 7 = 16264763
Segment 8 = 16253371

MY car that has been POWERLOADED.
C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\Desktop\flashjim1.LS1
Year = 1998
Engine = LS1 5.7 Liter
Vin = A Powerloaded '98 Vette
Calibration Number = 9355211
Checksum Disabled 485E D763
4873 A2A3
FF FF FF FF
See the second file looks odd and DOES NOT allow the compare function to work right. I tried the compare function with two other .ls1 files that were not from my car and they were fine.
ALSO!!!!!!
When I tried to program with my file it could not do it. I oculd edit it, but not program. Luckily I had two files and was able to program with the other one...
Soooooo should I re-read and capture my pcm and try again???
Damn file seems corrput or something...hmmm
