how to tune IAC?
how to tune IAC? 2 questions, sorry if I overlooked the answers.
1) How do you tune IAC with HP Tuners? I checked redhardsupra's site, and it said that you want your IAC to be ideally 50, but less than 70. Mine is at 94, but he doesn't say how to change.
2) How do you properly tune with AC on? I didn't see anything at redhard's site about that either. Please lmk thanks.

iac changes as you play with the idle screw. 50-70 is a good target, but it's not exactly a hard range. i've seen cars that hold at 80-90 and idle and drive perfectly fine. it's more about finding balance between not triggering the TPS voltage code, while trying to lower your IACs.
could you elaborate on that a little more? (Sorry to be dumb).
Also can't you adjust your IAC through HP Tuners without changing the set screw? I heard somewhere along the way was bad to change set screw.

If you put a big cam in, the car needs more air at idle than the stock settings provide. You use your idle set screw to open the TB blade and increase airflow. Opening the TB blade increases the air flow but the computer is assuming that you have a stock opening. You use HPT to tell the computer that you have a bigger than stock opening in your TB.

2) Cruise mode, I was driving down highway other day, and when I went to shift gears, car was bringing rpm's up to 2k, then when in gear was fine. What do you do to adjust that? When driving around the city is fine.
