I'm creating a spreadsheet with all kinds of equations for Gm/s to lb/hr and injector sizing etc. I'll put it online for everyone when I'm done.
I was looking at the MAF table in LS1Edit and at the extreme right of the table at 11472 Hz my stock table shows 428.52 Gm/s (air I assume).
Now if I want a 12.5:1 A/F ratio wouldn't I just divide 428.52/12.5 = which gives me 34.28 Gm/s of fuel. Divide this by 8 and you get 4.28 Gm/s or simpler I guess is total gm/s (air) / 100 = gm/s of fuel per cylinder (or injector).
Let's say I plan to make 550fwhp. I need 275lb/hr of fuel to make that (or 34.67 gm/s). Multiple that by 12.5 should give me the total amount of air being injested, right? Which should be around 433.125 g/s of fuel (34.67 * 12.5)
It seams to me if I know how much air is coming in and I can determine how much fuel I need. How can I then use that to modify my tables in LS1Edit? If I have a good idea of the hp graph from idle to redline (based on similar motors) I should be able to get it pretty close on the first shot, right?
