Blowing fuses
Well my buddy just bought a 1995 formula with a 6.0 liter ls1 and he is having problems recently. We waited a little long to get it into storage so it was sitting outside for about 2-3 weeks and a couple days ago he went to start it up to get it all warmed up and ice off it. He had it idling for about 20 min and then it just died. He checked the fuses and it had a blown pcm/ign fuse and a blown injector fuse. We replaced them about three times with the problem still occurring. Initially after sitting a day after the first time it happened and then replacing the fuses it idled for maybe 5 min and blew the fuses again After that it blows the fuses immediately when the car is turned on., cant even crank it, he tried putting a higher amp fuse in (witch I told him wasn’t a good idea after he did it) and it blew that to. This car has a 99+ newer pcm that has been tuned has the 95 body wiring harness. Dose anyone have any idea what I should be looking for, maybe a cross between the pcm/ign wiring and the injection wiring as they are blowing simultaneously? Any help would be great I don’t want to keep bothering the seller of the car.

I would start with a wqiring diagram and start inspecting the complete circuits that have the fuses blowing in them. The diagram specific to the eng/PCM you have willateast help some.

if the car was runing ok for the first 20min and car was icey, the ice might have melted and the water it made might be shorting the wires in the engine bay. check around the coil packs and injecters and see if there wet
