Default How to lockup my t/c early on ls1edit

Ok I think I go to "Performance MPH vs %TPS" to lock up my converter, BUT which where to start. Should I leave the 2nd apply and release alone and just go with the 3rd apply and release. What MPH should I look to lockup at for strip and then for street?? Once I adjust in the apply MPH, should I set the relase about 1 MPH slower??

Right now all my values are at 256!! haha
Oh yeah should I only concentrate on the %TPS values above say 75??

righ now my shift point at WOT are :
1-2 41mph
2-3 78
3-4 127

thanks

Sorry it took so long to answer ya,

As far as performance mode goes, our cars don't operate there(unless you have the magical switch). All the editing needs to be done in the normal mode tables.

If you read a parameter that is 256, then it is set not to lock up (ie 1st and 2nd gear).

What you do is go to the normal mode TCC lock up table s and massage them to lock up to your liking. If you want, I'll send you a text file of how mine are set, but you have to adjust the numbers to match your car.

If you have any specific questions just ask!

Also, as far as WOT sift points, you need to set those acording to what rpm you want to shift at. This is a trial and error deal as all cars are different. It will depend on what RPM your motor makes power at, your torque converter, your axle ratio, tires, etc.....

You can also massage the tables under normal mode shifts so that the car respones the way you want it to. Its all personal taste and feel.

THanks for the reply. Right now I was going to concentrate on th e3 gear t/c lockup. Right now mt WOT shift points are as follows:
1-2 = 41
2-3 = 78
3-4 = 127
I am running a ST3500 with 3.42 gears in a C5.
I was thinking about trying to lockup up my converter around 80 mph I guess as a starting point. Since I shift into 3 at 78 would that 78 be the earliset I should think about locking up the converter for STRIP runs??

How come we are to use the normal mode tab and not the perfomrance mode?? In my normal mode I have 3rd apply at 110 when my tps is at 81%. So maybe if I use that talble I should be chaning it to 80 ish mph give or take from say 81 or 87% tps on up.

thanks
