Default pcm/ls1edit Ques.

I'm planning on getting ls1edit when I get my h&c in about a month or so. I've read that you should go back to 'completely stock' programming before using ls1edit. My questions is, since I'm the third owner of this car, how can I be sure that it's stock and neither of the previous owners had an hpp3 or anything like that done to it? Would it be a wise idea, regardless of what has or hasn't been done to it, to go to gm and get a new pcm and use it as a core?

If your PCM hardware is good, Then there is no reason to get a new one. The new one will come unprogrammed, and you will have to pay GM to flash it for your car. If you think your programing was compromised, then get the dealer to reflash your current PCM, Or I can do that for you.
