Default !!! 99 and 98 ecu compatible?

my buddy is needing to know if 1998 ls1 6 spd ecus and 1999 ls1 6spd ecus compatible?? like for a swap, any help is appreciated. thanks!

No, they are not. I believe you need to repin the wiring harness to make it work.

They are completely different pinouts. Looks like it'd be a significant undertaking to swap pins around in the harness to make it compatible.

LS1.com has PCM pinout information in their FAQ, but parts of it aren't working. You can look at some info there.
