Re: LS1 Edit - MAF Differences They are allowing more air through because they are larger but also they are reporting a little leaner value than what's in the PCM's table for that respective Hz.
If you swapped a stock LS6 MAF on your LS1 car it could be as much as 20% lean - not really a good idea. However if you altered your MAF table with the values I have listed it work just fine!

If you have an aftermarket MAF like a SLP or Pace is has already been calibrated to the MAF table in your PCM. However if you buy a true GM LS6 MAF you can change the tables in your PCM with LS1 Edit to adjust for it. Basically instead of calibrating the MAF, you calibrate the PCM for that MAF. IMO that is the preferred way to do it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: LS1 Edit - MAF Differences Thanks Jeremy. So what you are saying is that the SLP and Pace MAFs that are "LS1 Calibrated" are seen as a normal MAF by the PCM? They just lean out the mixture because the allow more air through?
