Running Lean on new Engine
I have several problems with my new 422 and Superchips programing.
I went to the track for some testing and found out I'm running lean with lots of KR. This starts at the burn out, even before going WOT.
I would like to get it running good N/A before spraying it. At that time I know I would have to take out some timing.
What would be the first things to look at.
The Engine is a 422 set up with direct port nitrous with 36 lb GM injectors. I have a SLP recalibrated MAF and running 60psi of fuel pressure. It has its own fuel system for the N20.
Thanks for any help on this. The weather has been bad and have lost 3 weeks of testing and need to get this fixed.

Do you have an aux/2nd pump or an upgraded pump?
That monster is not getting enough fuel!
That's my opinion, with the info you gave.
That's the injectors that ARE uses on this engine, but you may be right. They did port the TB and did suggest the SLP MAF.
It has its own fuel pump for the N20 and the stock pump for the Engine. Thanks for your reply.

When I increasd my boost from 5 or 7 (6000 to 6500 RPMs) to 8 or 10 (6000 to 6600 RPMs) and put on the MAC headers, I had to go from 36# injectors to 42's.
Your problem just sounds like not enough fuel, to me... unless your timing is way high, which you sounded like you felt it wasn't.
I hope you work it out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

You say a seperate fuel pump for the N20, Does that mean seperate injectors too? Or do you just boost the Fuel Pressure when you hit the button?
The 36# Injector SHould be ggod for the NA engine, unless you are looking to also Wind it high.

Yes it has a seperate fuel pump and a n20/fuel fogger for each cylinder. It is a low rpm engine.(no 7k+rpm) I will not go over 6500 rpm N/A and 6000 on the N20. It may go over 6K thru the traps depending on how my Converter does and how much juice I'm spraying.
Thanks for the reply.
I'm still wanting to know what to adjust on the LS1 Edit to make it richer.
