I've got a copy of the Superchips Vortech program if you want it (1998 T/A MN6). If so, I can email it to you.

Reckless, I'd be interested in seeing that file. Email it to me too if you would.

Thanks

sent you a file.

I agree with what chris says. Go conservative on the timing and get your fuel dialed in then start bumping it up.

you will never run 24 degrees of timing with the powerdyne at 6psi without h20 injection or somehow getting an intercooler in there. Air just gets too hot without any intercooling.

you mention heads/cam/headers???, if you have these already then you will probably only see 3-4 psi so my guess from what I have seen is 20 degrees max at that point. Air just gets too hot without any cooling.

damn looks like your gonna beat me to first heads/cam/powerdyne car. well at least I will have something to try and beat

I will sedn the files to you guys. FWIW, Vortech maxes out the timing at 17 with the 9psi aftercooled kit and upgraded injectors/pump.

Thanks, you guys are awesome. A couple of questions though: Heath, the 36lb injectors in the file you sent me are those 36lbs@60 psi or @<60psi ChrisB, what am i looking for to see if and when my maf meter maxes out?

thanks again
mike

lemme find out which brand of injectors they are. I am 99% sure they are rated as 36's at 43.5psi

Default Looking for supercharged edit files

Does anyone have a good ls1 edit for a heads/cam or both + supercharged ls1 (preferably a 98 m6 fbody). there is one for a 99 vette in the repository but no other info about it. Im getting ready to tweek mine and would like something to compare to.

thanks
mike

Start off with about 15-16 degrees of timing. Autotap your car and take it int boost in 500-1000 rpm incriments. What you are looking for is the point where you MAF meter maxes out (if it does). When you hit this point you will need to add in more fuel manually in the PE vs RPM table (it will take decently large changes to see a difference). Once you have fueling taken care of initially you can slowly advance the timing. I probably wouldn't go higher than 24 degrees with your setup, and you may not get that high.

Ideally you want to do this on a dyno with a wideband.

You may not max it out with a 6lb powerdyne - it just depends.

If your maf is ported I would replace it with a stock unit.
