I am trying to get Autotap to work on my gateway notebook instead of my p120 because my battery is shot and my new notebook is a lighter.
So, I am trying to run the windows version and I'll be danged if 75% of the time I can get auto tap to connect the rest of the time it just says nothing is plugged up.
Sooo, anyone else run into this problem? I am running through a true serial port. Full battery and I even plug it in to my cigarette adapter.
I have Win ME and when I run the DOS version, my computer locks up on exit. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

make sure the very last thing you do before you start up autotap is to plug it in to the under-dash connector. If autotap can not find anything try unplugging it and plugging it back in. Have the car running before you try this - I loose connectivity when starting (going from key on -> run).
Basically autotap is a huge buggy Piece Of Software. Andrew mentioned that TTS Datamaster is releasing and OBD II version - I can not wait for that to be out. otherwise I would suggest the Ease software.
