Everyone with a MAFT
the computer is being sent information by the MAF sensor, but the signal is interrupted by te maf translator to compensate for your personal settings. so the computer is still being sent a signal, just a "massaged" signal for your car. really isn't a way to learn back to stock with that. hope that helps

Most people use the MAFT to get L-terms in as close to 0 at WOT to help tune the A/F.
From around 3000rpm up,the computer locks a table for fuel(open loop). With a MAFT you can tune a richer or leaner mix for WOT and the computer will not change this.
There are more in depth threads on this board you should look into.
With a MAFT, at the Base setting, you are trying to make the PCM do as little work as possible at correcting the A/F ratio...that is your goal in getting the LTFTs as close to zero as possible.
Once you get the Base setting consistent around 0, you can adjust the WOT setting, which the computer will NOT relearn..it is based on a fuel map which is programmed into the PCM...you can use the MAFT to tell the computer false information to get O2s around .890-.900 mv. If that makes any sense....
