Weird Problem Driving Today...Please help...
My car has 44,... miles on it and has run fine. Today I was driving from Charlotte to Columbus,GA. about 350 miles. The car was running fine.
I was in 6th gear running about 1800rpms, right around 70mph or so. The car surged like it had no fuel for a split second and then was ok. It happened about 5 times during the trip within the last 150 miles. I got no trouble lights, nor did I loose power or anything. It was kinda like a bobble.
I am posting here, because I do not know where to begin to check. I hooked the ATAP to it and had no trouble codes. Something similar like this happened to me in Germany, I was driving about 130 and it bobbled every now and then.
What do you think it could be?
NGK TR55's (20,000 miles)
Magnecor Wires (30,000 miles)
TPIS ZL10 Cam (25,000 miles)
Ported MAF
MAC's
No Cats (O2 Sims)

Well, your car could have very well been missing. The PCM wouldn't throw a code yet because a certain number of them have to happen for the code to be shown. The TR55 plugs are supposedly only good for 15k miles. My car used to do something similar to yours except that it was only in high RPMs or in 6th under heavy load. I checked my wires, and found a loose one. So you might check there too.

You might try to check the fuel pressure regulator, plugs, wires or for a dirty injector. Do you occassionally put in some Fuel Injector cleaner?
Sometimes on a new set of plugs, one goes bad or you can bump it and narrow the gap too much. I know it's a pain to check in our cars...

If you were on a long trip you might have built up some carbon and it caused a miss. Just floor it every now and then to get that stuff outta there. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
