rev limiter different in 2nd gear?

rev limiter different in 2nd gear? I just had custom programming done(E.W.) Tonight the car would hit the rev limiter in 2nd at around 6200. The tuning should have it set for 6600, and it seems to be correct in third gear. Any ideas?

Re: rev limiter different in 2nd gear? It’s possible. LS1-Edit lets you set the limiter different for each gear. Is your car an A4 or M6? If it’s an A4 then you might be feeling the converter slipping and bumping into the limiter. The other explanation is the tach is too slow to show the real RPM. Did you verify the RPM’s with Auto Tap?

Re: rev limiter different in 2nd gear? Good points. My car is an M6, and I have yet to check autotap to verify rpm accuracy. Although these tacks do lag a little, there is still a significantly shorter rev limiter in 2nd.
