Default LS1_Edit & 3:73 gears...

Is there an answer for this yet? Can I key in 3:42 gears and just say I have smaller tires than I do just to get it close? Is this something I can play with? It won't even shift at WOT. Thanks
David

The F-bodies have had gear scaling for a while and you can simply manually scale the relevant tables for the C5. Doesn't the gear scaling fix you up?

LS1 Edit blows as far as configuring shift points, i have been trying for 5 days now to get my 2-3 shift from nailing the rev limiter. tomorrow im going drastic and lowering the 2-3 shift to like 40 mph just to see if it will even shift early. there are tables to adjust it for TPS % or for Normal WOT. i havent figured it out tho really.

I KNOW someone knows this stuff but i guess they dont wanna speak up. just trial and error and help out the next guy when you get it. i will let you know if i figure somethin out

I too have 3.73's and an st3500. but without going to the track so i can do a burnout i will not get to close anyway cause i spin really bad <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

LS1 Edit simply allows you to set the parameters when the computer commands a shift. The results of that depend on *many* other factors - is your tranny mechanically sound, how long does it actually take the tranny to make the shift, etc.

Are you having difficulty with all shift points, or only WOT?

I input the following information into LS1-Edit to arrive at the proper speedo reading. The engine was out of a Camaro with 2.7 rear gears and a tire size of 25.?. I have 3.73 gears and 215/75R15 tires on my AstroAWD and when I plugged that into LS1-Edit every thing seems pretty damn close. I do have a problem with shifting into high gear but that is a change I have to make in the tranny tables. I did some comparisons between 98 f-body files and find that my LS1 file has an extremely high shift point in comparison to the other files. Like I'm talking 250mph vs 150mph and let's face it, an Astro even it has an LS1 ain't goin' to go 250mph.
