Default Just received my LS1 Edit Cables

Just got it today by UPS 2nd day air. Even has my name on it, but Ken spelled my last name wrong. But that's OK. Will do a stock reading of my PCM. Then first thing I'll do is raise my idle cause the car dies sometimes cause I just got a Vigilante converter. Anybody raise their idle yet?

Just read the instructions in MS Word on how to use it. I can finally understand how everything works now!
What scared me is how my Screen Saver can destroy my PCM. So have to disable it.

don't forget to disable any utilities that might pop up while loading, like a anti-virus program or defraf, etc....

just remember that if anything goes wrong while readign your aok.. i did a couple reads to just make sure it was working ok before programming.. also i select the option that lets be watch the data coming in..

just make sure your cars battery is fine before re flashing the pcm!!

Damn you Leo.

I have to wait at least another week, for some sort of Carputing parts backup I was hoping to get it this week too.

Saw your car at Mark's today too. 12 bolt lookin a little puny compared to my 9in. I've got some buildup plans that might keep me ahead of you and your 427 too.

[SSpeed] I too have to wait another week. We must have just missed the break off point.

I'm going to download my HPP3 program right now. I have a table set up next to my car, and plugging in my notebood to AC. Using an optical mouse to be more accurate in pointing.
Also putting on some rap, and opening a bottle of Corona. Tuning is sure enjoyable.
But there is only a .2 inch difference. The 12 bolt tubes are smaller too that's why.
What if I spray my 427, then what are you going to do huh!

Well I downloaded the HPP3 with power tuning in less than 15 mins. Check autotap for codes and there were none. Now I'm going to return my car back to stock programing and download that. From there I will be able to make new files. Pretty cool program. Thanks Ken!

I download my stock program in 12 mins. Then I took the HPP3 program and raised the shift points, change the misfire detection to 140/139 cause I have converter unlocking on the freeway, and raised my max torque to 400. Uploaded it and it only took 2 mins. First it asked me if I wanted to license my PCM. Of course I had to say yes or it would program. After it finished car made that noise just like HPP3. And it started right up. I'd say this program is easier than HPP3. Consider this a testimonial!

Just got back from a 40 mile trip on the freeway. Converter never unlocked by itself unless I put my foot in it. Just want to thank whomever discovered this.

Tuning sounds pretty straightforward. Have you dabbled in any fuel and timing mapping?

Unless its over a 100 shot I think I'll have you covered. And if you do run a bigger shot I think a lil pulley change and some race gas just might handle that. However you've got like 5 or more months to practice and stuff before I even get near having enough cash to fulfill the master plan.

One of our moderators, I think it was Andrew, knew which table to mess with. I knew all last year that it was misfire-related but did not now how to fix it. My converter locks up for the first time in 3 years.

I'd love to take credit but I don't think it was me. I've got a 6-speed in my LS1 and haven't worked on A4 stuff.

Ryan K. has an A4 and his friend Ellis is the Tranny Guru Supreme. So I'd bet it's the Ellis/Ryan combo that has posted the info.

Hi Chris,
My car still is stock and don't need it. However very soon it will have custom tuning, and all that will be taken care of. Will just use the Ls1 Edit to change the simple stuff if I have to like idle speed, fans, shift points, codes etc.
Once you get yours you can rent dyno time and try to do it yourself with their dyno wideband. You can practice editing, scaling, setting parameters so when you get to the dyno you can easily do any changes and adjust accordingly with the wideband readouts until you are satisfied with the results.
Hope you are feeling better now. Guess you got some huge scabs which crack and weep. That happened to me falling off a bicycles going 20mph.

I meant download the HPP3 tuning, and all the setting I needed from my car's PCM to the LS1 Edit. I need to add other changes not found in the HPP3 and only available on Ls1 Edit. Then I upload the revised program.
