maft??
what exactly does it do??? i just put headers on my car, and i have been told i am running to rich at wide open throttle, which is the cause of my lost horsepower and bad track times. to fix this, i need a maft right??? what are some other alternatives to this, what exactly does the ls1 edit do? i know i need to get my car auto tapped to see exactly what the problem is right?? NEED HELP!!! thanks
MAFT: allows you to compensate for being too rich/lean accross the board and at WOT specifically. Effective in solving minor A/F issues and relatively inexpensive. Installs in 5 minutes.
LS1Edit: Allows to adjust many of the pcm's controls including injectors, gearing, A/F, spark, idle, fans, emissions control devices, transmission, etc. Extremely versatile tool but $550.
Using ATAP would be a very good start, although a wideband dyno is a better way to diagnose A/F issues.
