Default Set SES code P0171/P0174 ??

I have set up a ported MAF/MAFT on my 2002 WS6 TA/A4 and dialed the WOT in after 8 WOT runs and everything was great O2s .895 no KR 24º timing.

I get to the track and put down 8 runs and all of a sudden I pull two SES codes P0171/P0174.

Code translator(by the way thats great thx guys) says "FUEL TRIMS LEAN" now is that simply the wording or is that code indicating the STFTs/LTFTs(or base) are lean and perhaps not the WOT/O2 readings that caused my SES light?I just figured it was my WOT settings but maybe my guess was wrong. I couldn't determine what it was at the track, I simply pulled the ported MAF and returned to the stock one and reset the DTC and haven't had a chance to run anymore ATAP runs.

Joe,

If you find out let me know. I've got the same thing going on with my car. They say it's either an exhaust leak or bad 02 sensors. I've leak checked my intake and exhaust and found nothing, swapped the 02's from side to side and still get the same thing. Ed Wright did my tuning, I am working with him right now to try and figure this thing out. He had me check the long term fuel trims with the autotap,at cruise mine are at 25.0% and at idle they go down to 11.7% with the right bank moving first in both directions. If you find a fix please let me know. Thanks,

Mark

Sure enough, if I would have taken my time and not gotten in a rush I would have been fine. The base settings needed to be adjusted. I was running +20% on idle with a higher reading when I got into fuel cell 8 & 12. After 8 ATAP cruise runs and 4 adjustmenst on the base setting of the MAFT I now have and averge of -1.6 and -0.8 on my base settings and I will have to rework the WOT settings as they have now gone a bit rich with KR????? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> The car has only 2000 km so I don't believe I have an issue with any leaks, and it also works within spec range with the stock MAF in place. More playin is needed. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
