Default Need some MAFT help

Just hooked up the MAFT this morning. PRIOR AutoTap results were:

Aver B1LTFT (while in cells 1-19) = -0.339
" B2LTFT " " " " = -1.983
" B1O2#1 " " " 22 = 0.936
" B2o2#1 " ' " " = 0.940
Aver timing throughout was 35.58 and no KR

So, I set the base switch to F (5% lean), WOT at 0, and the dip switches all off. Took the car out for a drive, but did not reset the pcm. Then I autotapped again and got the following:

Aver B1LTFT = 14.648
" B2LTFT = 13.465
" B1O2#1 = 0.721
" B2O2#1 = 0.608
Aver timing = 36.83 and no KR

Seems like the LTRIMS were as close to zero as possible without the MAFT so I set the base back to zero. But, when I had the base at 5% lean, the O2 readings changed. If I now set the WOT switch to leaner, should the LTRIMS change also? Any comments are appreciated.

A PS - Is it necessary to reset the pcm after making changes with the MAFT and then AutoTapping?

Setting the base DOES affect the WOT readings, that is whay that must be set first. Then do the WOT settings. I have not seen the WOT settings affecting the Base readings.

Hope that helps.

And your Ltrims at such a low negative number, is pretty damned close to zero. So you are running just a slight touch rich.

I also thought the LTRIMS were pretty close to zero, but wanted to see what going 5% lean would do. Next, I'll set the WOT one step leaner and see what that does. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
