Does ecm use oil pressure?

Does ecm use oil pressure? I want to pull out the oil pressure sending unit and replace it with the one from to 70 corvette so I can use the stock gauge. Does the ecm use oil pressure for anything? Will disconnecting it cause any codes?

Re: Does ecm use oil pressure? My guess is the pcm doesn't "use" the pressure for anything but it is monitored and there are at least 4 codes that have to do with the sensor circuit. Probably so it can be determined if the circuit/sensor is malfunctioning. PO520-PO523.
