timing low please help

Default timing low please help

My ltrims and o2's are both good and I have no kr.But the higher the rpm the lower the timing .My car is a 01 so I have been reading that it should be around 26 well mine drops all the way to 21 and sometimes 20.This is at about 5000 up and my peak power is around 6200.O another thing, it drops to 10 when I shift and it pops through the exhaust. Any help on the timing thing would be great.What do I change to change timing?

Sorry no answer/help but I am duplicating your situation. The only difference is I am running with a ported MAF/MAFT and the base/Ltrims and the WOT/O2 readings are tuned perfectly without any KR and my timing at WOT is between 18º-21º. Is there something different about the 01-02s that we are missing as I thought with timing that low we would see KR/ping. My track times are good and compare with anyone with similar mods??? see sig.

You get KR from timing too high, not too low.

And my understanding is when you use a MAFT to tell the PCM there's more airflow than there really is, the PCM will adjust richer (+ ltrims) and lower timing. To get higher timing, you have to get higher fuel delivery (bigger injectors or higher pressure), to cause a rich condition, which will cause the PCM to adjust leaner and raise timing.

Your computer is reading the Low Octane Spark table.. This happened to mine.. The computer learns knock(even when you dont have any) and then starts to read the Low Octane table..It doesnt even matter if you use 104 octane... If you have LS1edit... just mirror the low with the high... Kind of like tricking it!! DUMBASS ODBII
