OBD-II Scanner Question
It is like autotap, but a lot less expensive. It starts at $142 for 1 vehicle, but I can get it for less than that. I am hoping to get it at a bulk discounted rate.
Can anyone give me any feedback? So far I have heard positive stuff about it.
Thanks,
John
I bought it (under a group purchase) a couple years ago as a scan tool for my wife's minivan. For that, it works well.
Tried to do datalogging with it. Maybe it's just me, but I couldn't get it to do data acquisition very quickly. Supposedly there is a way to get it to log parameters much faster, but I didn't bother figuring it out.
As long as you can get to the manufacturer specific data with YOUR vehicle (knock retard, injector pulsewidth, etc) it'd be OK. But I'm not sure it reads knock retard for any year other than the '98 LS1 (and I don't know if 98-02 are all the same or not). Something to investigate.
I now run AutoTap, and don't like it very much either. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> I'm waiting for TTS Datamaster for OBDII to hit the market now. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
