Default Center console makes a great mouse pad

Just plopped the notebook on the passenger seat, and put the optical mouse on the center console, and uploaded a new program with an higher idle speed. Now my car doesn't stall anymore with the converter. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Did all this in the dark too!

I squeeze the laptop between me and the steering wheel and use that damn trackpoint red dot thingie on the keyboard. It's a tight fit because of the forza II seat.

I already ventured into fuel and timming mapping to. Fun stuff and with 1.5 minute uploads I can swap in and out a bunch of setups.

I normally have better luck just logging the run and analyzing the data later. The only time I look at the laptop while dirivng is if I feel a noticable flat spot or stutter - I look at the spark timing and injector pulsewidths as one of those is normally the culprit - then you track down what is causing the problem.

As a plus with logged data you can export it to a csv and open it in excel. Since all the timing is scalled vs. a non-loggable paramater (gm/cyl) this is almost required to make meaningfull timing changes imho.
