How high is too high? (rev limiter ?)

Default How high is too high? (rev limiter ?)

I have the limiter set at 6,300 -vs- 6,200 for stock. how high is too high for a minor bolt on A4 ? I see a lot of guys going up to 6,400 or so, who has theres set and where ???

The rev limiter is mainly for protection against a major screw up. 6200 shift points with a 6400 rev limiter is fine on the stock valvetrain and works pretty well if you have opened up the exhaust.
