hypertech problem...

hypertech problem... well...i know the battery is supposed to be fully charged and stuff...but aparently mine wasnt charged enough...i went do some some chores, and came back twenty min later, and the battery had died. so i charged the car up, and go to start it and nothing. so i charged it up plenty...had enough juice to turn over, but wouldnt go. so i pluged back in the hypertech, and it said "code 6", and to call hypertech. so i called them up, and he said that i am goin to have to have my computer reflashed, or buy another one. so my question to you guys is, what would u do if you were in my position...would a dealership even work on my car since they will say its modded, will i have to buy another computer, what should i do? thank you very much in advance for any knowhow on what to do. i feel like the biggest moron ever... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Re: hypertech problem... if i get my hands on a pcm from a 98 6 speed, will that be good enuff to put on just to drive to the dealership so they can fix it right there, or will the car not start or drive if i use a pcm from another almost exact car? thanks again!

It may be that using a different PCM would be more telling to the dealer than just going in and BSing them. BTW, jumper in a second battery when using the HPPIII to avoid this very issue. However, do not put a charger on either one while the Hypertech is doing it's thing. Good luck to you.
