We have run DFI and FAST(speedpro) on different cars. I prefer the FAST because it is more user friendly and capable of quicker changes. The DFI is a killer piece but the FAST in my opinion is better.

Yep, I have used Accel DFI, SpeedPro/Fast, Haltech (E6k), Autotronics, and the electromotive setup.

SpeedPro + wideband was probably the easiest to tune, though the autotronics with wideband is right there also. The speed pro setup is cheaper, and has much better support here in america.

The big plus for the accel dfi is that you can pick up used ones for very cheap now.

I really disliked the electromotive and haltech offerings; I would not recommend them for anything (well, the haltech for a rotary - that's about it).

There are a few others that are supposto be good - MoTeC is an awesome and highly configurable setup, but it's at or near the top in price. DTA is also suposto be speed pro like, though I have never seen/used it personally.
