Need more timing on 01 TA

Need more timing on 01 TA My car is topping out at 25 deg advance with no KR.
How can I get more timing?Would like to get to 28-30deg.
I have a HPP3 for setting my rev limiter and T-stat,will this add more timing?Or screw up my whole setup?

Re: Need more timing on 01 TA If the car is running good numbers, leave the timing as is. I'd personally rather run a bit lower timing and zero spark retard, than to run a bit more timing and end up getting spark retard every once in a while. I bet if you put the timing up to 28-30 you'd end up having the knock sensor pull back the timing below 25 anyways, so you'd be worse off than when you started. What kind of octane can you get in your area? If you can get 94 octane you might be able to get away with that higher timing (I was able to with my 98) but certainly not if you can only get 91 or 92 octane.

Re: Need more timing on 01 TA I run 94 octain.The reason I want more timing is because when I changed my rev limiter from 6100-6500 it pulled the timing up too.At 4000 rpm I lost 2-3 degrees of timing.I know my car can take more timing.I've made pulls with A/F at 13.5-1 without any KR.
