Default ? on MAFT, LS1 edit, autotap

I'm installing headers on my 2002 Fire Hawk and I want to do it right the first time. I'm trying to decide between SLP or FLP headers, but that decision doesn't effect my question. I need to know what I should buy to get the most out of the headers. Do I need a MAFT, LS1 edit and an autotap, a combination of 2, or none , to get the most out of the headers?

ATAp is a must; it monitors what is going on. MAFT and LS1Edit are programs that allow you to make changes. MAFT allows you to +/- fuel at cruising and WOT. LS1Edit does that and a TON more.

MY $.02? Pass on the MAFT and get LS1Edit.

You will also need a laptop for this venture.

Good luck!

Agree. You need scan software (so you need a laptop) and if you're willing to spend the time to learn, LS1 Edit is the way to go. About the cost of a maft and a HyperTech put together but much more functionality!

My header's made me run rich. Picked up a good 1/10th dialing them in!

i think on the headers should be FLP. you get everything with them if your willing to spend the money. if not FLP, do Hooker or Dynatech headers.
