Default Z06 vs CTS-V Tuning

In my quest to learn stuff, I was comparing at the stock tunes for the 04 Z06 vs the 04 CTS-V in HP Tuners. One thing I'm wondering about are VE tables. I noticed that the main VE tables for these cars have different values, even though they have the same LS6 engine. I was wondering if anyone could briefly explain what would account for the difference here.

Thanks and happy new year.......A

different exhaust configuration, intake track, vehicle weight, all are factors most likely.

Art,
I've done the exact thing, check them both out, to learn a little more. I ordered HPT earlier this week and am waiting to start tuning my 05 CTSV. The intake is different, the exhaust manifolds are different, so differences there would show up on the VE. I plan to dial the VE first, then focus on the PE on the dyno....no WBO2 for me yet.

Good luck,
ace
