SOS HELP!!!

Ok, I dont know if this is the right room for this or not but can somebody give me a logical reason why i could possibly have a small stream of smoke coming from the top of the steering column? this is really freaking me out and today was the second time it happened. the strange thing (and i have no idea if it had anything to do with it) is that when i turned my radio completely off it seemed to stop. has anybody ever heard of something like this? i've considered taking the steering wheel off but i really dont want to mess with the air bag. and we all know how the dealer's can be when we take a car in thats out of warranty and modified...any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

sounds like you have a short in the radio controls. Never taken that apart so i can't tell you how to get in there and find out what is shorting.

sounds like you have a pinched wire behind air bag the only way to find out is to take it apart the air bag is not hard to take out just make sure the battery is disconneted
