LS1 EDIT Version 1.05????

LS1 EDIT Version 1.05???? I got the cable that supports '99 and '00 cars. Now when the new 1.05 version comes out will my cable be able to edit '01 and '02 cars?? Or do i need to send my cable in to be upgraded as well?

Re: LS1 EDIT Version 1.05???? Your cable only keeps track of the number of vehicles that can be reprogrammed. If you purchased the capability to reprogram more than one vehicle from Carputing then you won't need to send the cable. You can download from as many vehicles as you want and edit (or view) the file. The cable only keeps track of which vehicles have been reprogrammed (uploaded).
If you purchased the 99-00 and 01-02 you will be able to read any of those files. You can purchase additional vehicles for $100 each and it can span multiple years. For example, I purchased the 97-98, 99-00, 01-02 and the capablility to program four vehicles (the maximum for one dongle). Total cost was $850 ($550 + 100 for each additional vehicle).

Maybe i didn't state it correct...When i bought EDIT in February the '01 and '02 software wasn't out yet. So i had to get what was available at the time. Which was '99 and '00. So what you are saying is that my '99 - '00 cable wont work with the new 1.05 software upgrade?

Re: LS1 EDIT Version 1.05???? If you purchased the capability to program one vehicle and have not uploaded a flash file, it your current cable will work.
The difference is in the LS1 EDIT file itself. You will need the capability to open and edit the 01-02 files.
