Default 96 LT1 PCM programming question

I noticed that you LS1 guys have the ability to program your pcm's to work with 2-3bar map sensors and run in SD without a MAF...
My question is, can this be done on an LT1 pcm?
I would need it to read and understand a 2bar MAP.
I know you can simply unplug the MAF and the PCM will run the car in "limp home mode" in SD. But can it be programmed with LT1edit to run all the time in SD and not be in the limp mode?

This would make me feel alot better about running my new 383 with the stock PCM instead of Aftermarket engine management. Mainly because I dont like the idea of lying to the PCM so it supply's the correct fuel after the MAF has maxed out and the boost keeps climbing.

Yes you can tune in Speed Density mode with stock PCM using LT1edit or Tunercats. I know you can with OBD1. Pretty sure you can with OBDII.

hes talking about being able to run with a 2 bar map in SD which yeah you can but im positive 96's will not only have a low resolution secondary ve table but in addition you'd need to 1/2 those values to come up with your actual ve value...too much of a pita from where im standing.

Ive worked with PCMforless before... After local dyno tuning, I wont go back. Nothing wrong with PCMforless, Brian is great to work with.
Foff667: Would running an OBDI PCM help with resolution and make it worthwile from your standpoint? I have access to a complete OBDI swap if neccessary. But I dont want to do this if it isnt possible to benefit from.
Thanks for the replys guys, please keep them coming!

If you get your standard Tune and send it to PCMforless they can set it up for 2bar. Then using Tunerpro RT and the dyno you can calibrate in real time. Then burn your own prom till you get the tune right.

Try http://www.moates.net/index.php?cPath=24_47

SRPerformance:
Thanks for those links... Ive just spent an hour and a half reading through all kinds of stuff I found on those sites.
It seems that TunerPro RT would only work for an OBD1 LT1 PCM or older. I think the only thing out there for my factory PCM is LT1edit
Im gonna talk to Bryan at PCMforless a little bit today, and try to get ahold of Jeremy Formato too. Between the two of them I should get some really usefull info.
I'll post up as to what I learn from them, because Im sure there will be lots more to discuss. I cant believe there hasnt been more people to do this with LT1's.

Wow, if you type "Tuner Car" in your search bar, the old site pops up in the results.
If you go there, all you'll find is info about the software for 95 & earlier cars.

But, if you type "Tunercat" you'll find www.monodax.com
Which has all the info and a forum about their new OBDII programmer!
All this time, I was under the impression that there wasnt anything else available.
Thanks, for the tip Foff667!

They have their OBDII stuff on their site too.

http://www.tunercat.com/tnr_desc/do_tc.html

Click on Pricing Information on the left, and then OBDII Tuner package in that right list of stuff.
