Default HELP W/ HPP III INSTALL

BOUGHT and had the hppiii for 02 installed on my 02 t/a ws6. on way home at wot lots of hesitation, loss of power ect.i understand that the new power programer is not very compatible with a ported/polished throttle body.got home,UN INSTALLED the hppiii. NOW i'm going to try and reinstall without the power programming part. THE HELP i ned is i've never done this before. i have an a-4. what would be safe in upping the rev limiter to 6200? also,i have the stock 17 in goodyears, so i'll go with the "z" rating on the tireswhich should be ok for the speed limiter, the rear end was changed from 3'23 to 3.73si dont know anything about the shift point mph and rpm, for the 1-2 shift,2-3 and 3-4 or overdrive??i do not have an aftermarket tranny kit,so i need to up the shift firmness. book says 25%-50%-75%-100% what is safe but will be great at the same time. i'm trying this my self as a first timer at this so please take it easy on me. THANKS VERY VERY MUCH FOR ANY AND ALL HELP............

Your sig says Superchips programming-not sure why you would want to put the HPP3 power programming on top of that anyway. You can install any of the other HPP3 functions w/o power programming; just select no for power programming.
If you're running a stock valvetrain I don't believe I would bump the rev limiter up.
Setting the shift points might be useful, only testing will confirm if they help. I found changing the 1-2 & 2-3 shifts helpful after TC install.
As far as shift firmness settings I can't help as mine are stock. Some say increasing the shift firmness w/HPP3 might cause premature wear; some say the increase in line pressure couldn't possibly be enough to cause any damage. I have no opinion on that.
Hope this helps.

TAANKS for a reply. i got superchips months ago when i changed out the rear gears from 3.23 to 3.373. since that time, i have added long tube headers. called superchips, they said i needed to send their program back to get reprogramed for the headers or the engine would not run right.... they wanted almost $275.00 to do that....what crap!!!!!!!!!!!when i had the hppiii installed i had the superchip taken out.bought the hppiii for $300. $25.00 more than what the other would of cost having to uninstall--mail--get back and reinstall........ so guys i'm still looking for some numbers for rpms mph and so on?? how about it??????? THANKS.

Gotcha on the Super Chips.
Not sure about other years, but I believe the stock rev limit is already at 6200 rpm on the 2000 F-Bodys. I know my 2-3 shift is a little over 6150 with a +2 setting via HPP3. I'm using a +4 setting on the 1-2 shift but the actual shift rpms are kinda low sometimes due to wheelspin. It's one of those "experiment and see" kinda things. Took me several tries to get mine optimized.
