99 MAF vs. 85mm MAF

I think the calibrating business sets the output frequency to read lower than what is actually flowing through the MAF. The result is the engine gets more air than what is being reported by the larger MAF's output signal to the PCM. The PCM responds by keeping ingnition timeing high. The engines throttle responce under load is altered, some see this as a mod.
