Default If I bought MTI S2 H/C and have LS1edit...

would they email the tuning file for my setup to me free of charge or would they charge me for it?

I'm contemplating droppin the coin for LS1edit.

I need to fix my shift points and change my rev limiter. So I need to get something. Either HPP3, LS1edit, or the new Diablo tuner(which I know nothing about).

I know that TM is pretty much worth the cost of LS1Edit by itself. But I don't want to have to drop another $500 for the tuning when I get H/C.

Thanks.

Heads/cam packages do not include tuning. You could probably do a very good job of tuning it yourself with LS1-Edit with the help of this site anyways. Besides, every single car is different and there isn't a generic tune for any heads/cam packages.

How do they come up with the tuning for each persons car that orders it? Take all their mods into consideration and take a stab in the dark?

The thing that sucks is, the closest dyno is a minimum of 2 hrs from me. Hell, I might as well drive the 4 hrs to Speed Inc. and hang out in my old home town.

Will the car make it that far with say S2 heads and H2 cam with basic tuning? ie. idle speed, etc.

I need to start hanging in this section more I guess. Get a head start.

I'm planning on installing myself so I suppose learning to tune my ride is for my own benefit anyway.

Air/Fuel ratios are typically tuned conservatively on the rich side to ensure no detonation. Dyno tuning is the only way to go for optimum power output, but having AutoTap and LS1-Edit can get you there with your own tweaking.

i have MTI s2 heads cam also. They did custom tune my PCM but I had to return 2-3 times and it still needs a little fine tuning. My ls1edit will be here in 2 weeks. I would definately recommend doing it yourself. MTI can get it in the general direction but never perfect.
