What is autotap, LS1 edit???
Autotap is a program you run on your Lap Top that allows you to read all sorts of parameters from your PCM.... things like the Ltrims for the two banks, and the Oxygen Sensor readings, throttle body angles, knock sensor, mis-fires... etc....
It is mainly a reading tool in that you can not change anything... it can be used with a Mass Flow Translator and by changing settings on the translator you can tune the engine at both cruise and wide open throttle...(WOT)
The LS-1 Edit is a program that will read the settings in the PCM, when the engine is NOT running, and store those settings in a file on the lap top. You can then change settings and modify items such as the the different fuel cell readings to fine tune the engine even finer than a Mass Flow Translator would let you do. Auto-tap and LS-1 edit work together as the Auto-tap will tell you how well you are doing at tuning the engine in.... and the LS1-edit allows you to change settings and then go and check what the changes do... for better or worse. With the LS-1 edit it is my understanding that you would not need a Mass Flow Translator as you can make all the changes, even finer detail, with the LS-1 edit program. It comes with a piece to plug into the PCM port which is just to the right of the steering column under the dash.
Hope this helps...
