Re: WTF kinda code is this From memory: if the pcm (via crank sensor) detects what it thinks is abnormal crank rotation, it sets a code thinking it could be a misfire. According to the Helms, this could be caused by a rough road. I guess with a certain rotational time of the engine expected by the pcm ,and the wheels leaving the ground and then re-engaging, the engine speed varies enough to make the pcm think there could be a misfire. Not sure what all parameters it takes into account.
