My SES light keeps coming on & I've used 2 differant code scanners to check & clear.
Thank to Classic Pontiac I've replaced the control valve near the throttle body (I asked for an Evap Purge Solenoid) but I thought they knew more than me so I installed it & cleared the DTC.
No change. So I bought an Evap Purge Solenoid installed it & cleared the DTC. It stayed off for 2 weeks & came back on. Wire harness looks ok no kinks or anything funky. Weatherpak connectors look good. just to be safe I cleaned them & used dielectric grease to protect.
Finally I put in(due to desparation & no other @#&%$ ideas) a new Charcoal Cannister & Fuel Cap.
Cleared the DTC. It lasted about 1/2 hour.
An intermittent problem has become an almost constant pain in the..., It feels like I lose HP & Torque when the SES light kicks in.
When I drive likes its on & it shuts off I'm all over the place.
Anyone have any ideas or hear of this problem.
