O2's Average WOT Question

Default O2's Average WOT Question

I just went out for a cruise and hooked up AutoTap. I got on the car at WOT here and there. Below are the results:

O2's Average (Combined): .765
B1S1: .903
B1S2: .628
Knock Retard: 0-1.6
Recorded at WOT: trimcell 22 & TPS% 100%

I have a MAFT, but I'm not sure which way to go, move to rich or move to lean or are these numbers ok to drive at WOT?

My base settings are great LTRIM avg is -.01

Any and all help is appreciated.

If you have adjusted your Ltrims as close to zero as possible, you can move on to the WOT.
You start with the MAFT with both the cruise and WOT in zero... then take readings. In most cases you will find that the Ltrims are on the positive side, and you have to start to richen the mixture by using the pot to go positive, one step at a time. Only after getting the Ltrims tuned in, you then focus on the WOT settings. The reason you do this, is the Cruise settings can upset the WOT settings, so you want them settled in before going to the WOT. Generally you will want a WOT avg of .887 to .893.... but it is best to get the car on a wide range oxygen sensor to verify what the A/F ratio is, then you will know for sure what WOT from autotap you want to achieve.
On the WOT, make sure you are only looking at the fuel cell that is for the WOT when your TBP number is around 98% or higher.

Your second O2 reading is messed up; no way should you have that big a spread from side to side. I think you ATAPed your after the cats sensor. Try B2S1 and see if it is close to B1S1.

Thanks, I'll have to look at what I picked in the ATAP. If I did choose the right params in ATAP, then I would assume that I have a faulty O2 on the passenger side of the vehicle?

.900sis about right. Anything from .890s to .920s is pretty typical on stock motors. You stated you logged B1S1 and B1S2. Those are both your passenger side O2s. As said above, go tap the B1S1 and B2S1. #s should be identical.
