Some Lterm ?'s and observations.
the 98... while in "driving around mode" not WOT usually sees a Lterm of 10 to 15% (lean) and at wot it sticks right at 15%... but the o2 voltages are not too lean, right around .880 to .900.
the 2002.. while "driving around" is dead nuts 0% and at WOT it is 0% and the o2 are .9 to .91 with just a slight amount or knock retard every now and then.
Is this slightly lean condition on the 98 making it run bad? Can I cure it by going back to a stock MAF housing, or will it take a MAF translator to fix it? Pleas help.

The 02s are definitely faster but 5 mph is too much of a spread unless the 02 is a 6-speed.
