Default Help me with a MAFT question

I just recieved my MAFT in the mail. MY question is, before I connect it I need to know what im doing first. I dont understand how to set it. I know that the four little "DIP" switches get set to "OFF" so thats easy enough. Now the 2 dial-in buttons are what confuse me. I read that turning it clockwise is richer, and counter clockwise is leaner. If i turn it counter clockwise i get a letter, but if you turn it clockwise i get a number. In the manual it says not to use the letters. Well how else do i lean my car out? I could possible be reading this wrong, but thats why i need help. any help would be great. thank you

Read the inside of the top cover of the MAFT. That shows what each click of the switches does.

Before you start tuning with the MAFT read over this guide.

Without Autotap or the OBD2 software you are tuning blindly with a MAFT. I would NOT recommend that. You need something to monitor your fuel data parameters before you start making any adjustments. Take your time with this. It is not a 2 second adjustment procedure.
